What We Believe

There is only ONE God, The LORD, God is One in essence, but exists in three persons.  God reveals himself to us eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

(Deut. 6:4; Matt. 3:16-17; John 12; Acts 5; Eph. 1:1-14; 1Tim. 2:5)

The 66 books found in the Bible are totally and equally inerrant, infallible, and are God's primary form of revealing Himself.

(2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

Jesus Christ is the promised Messiah spoken of in the Law, the Prophets, and the Old Testament Writings.  He existed eternally with God.  He was born of a literal virgin birth.  Jesus Christ is 100% God and 100% Man, therefore deeming Him the only adequate sacrifice for the sinfulness of man.  he has ascended to heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father until his immanent return at an undisclosed time.

(Matt. 24:36; John 1:1, 4:1-4; Philippians 2:5-11)

Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone.  God by His sovereign grace reaches out to sinners providing even the necessary faith to repent and believe.  By believing the Gospel message, repenting of our sins and trusting in Him a the substitution for our sins, we are saved from the righteous wrath of God.

(John 14:5; Roman 5:1, 5:9; 2Cor. 5:17-21; Eph. 2:8-9)

Man is totally depraved, unable to solve the problems of his sinful position or do any work that will close the gap between himself and the Holy God.

(Isa. 64:6; Rom. 3:10-19)

Heaven is a real place that will be the eternal resting place in addition to a new earth for those who have trusted in Christ for eternal salvation.
(Rev. 21:1)

Hell is a literal place of eternal torment for fallen angels and all who have not trusted Jesus for the pardon of their sin.

The Church is God's invincible design.  This body of redeemed believers is to represent his character and herald His saving message until that glorious Day of His return to claim his Church and judge all humanity.  While the Church is a global family, this family finds it's expression in local congregations which the scripture call every believer to belong to.  the Church is portrayed and described in Scripture in a many beautiful terms.  a priesthood, His bride, His body, His flock, a household, a temple, saints, and others.
